A Celebration of Life for Charles Phillip Brassfield of Lorain, Ohio formerly of York who passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in York. Reverend Robert Pearce, Jr., church Pastor, is to officiate. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Gardens in York. Public viewing and visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at McInnis Mortuary in Livingston. He will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church. McInnis Mortuary of Livingston is entrusted with local arrangements.


Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Teri Brassfield, his sons; Charles Eric Brassfield and Joshua Philip Brassfield; his siblings, James (Maeda) Brassfield, Leon Brassfield, Tillie Brassfield, Jeanette Brassfied Payne, Amanda Brassfield and Daisy Brassfield along with his three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
