A Celebration of Life for Ellis Powell of Birmingham, Alabama formerly of Livingston, Alabama who passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the Gymnasium of Livingston Junior High School in Livingston, Alabama. Reverend Willie J Ivory, Sr. is to officiate with Interment to follow in the Livingston City Cemetery in Livingston, Alabama. Public viewing and visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023. He will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the school. McInnis Mortuary of Livingston is entrusted with all arrangements.

He leaves to cherish his Memory; his loving and devoted wife of forty-three years, Sharon Powell, four children; Ellis Powell, Jr. (Varetta), DeWayne Powell (Jamie), Bonita Powell and Tamera Pickett, one brother; Ollie Powell along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
